We visited while waithing to go back to Flagstaff to have our truck worked on. We ended up spending the night at the Ford place!
If you get a chance try the Valley of Fire CAmpground it overlooks the CArrizozo Lava flow. Its in NM great place and very inexpensive...its clean but pretty exposed, great night sky. I think it cost us $9 for full hookups, not sure about the tent $. There were sights not on top that would be good for a tent. We had breakfast down the road at 4Winds...great Green Chillie and Chorizo with eggs for bkfast.

Will have to look on a map to see where Demming is. Have you tried using the all stays app for small campgrounds? We had great success in the City County and State ones. I agree the weather can be pretty iffy in a tent. how is your 2 tent system doing?

Tucker sounds like a handfull, get that new harness made. THere have been sad stories of dogs gettin lost on trips. We found one at a rock carving sight. It took 2 rangers and me and Dave to catch the poor frightened little thing. They were hoping it had just gotten out of a car and been forgotten, I like to think the owners came back and were reunited!

Fabric, it is sort of like a drug when you are away for a while...it hits even harder! The piece did look wonderfull...You neede to desensitize your self!!!!!
We maybecome BLM junkies! Camp for 3-4 days to somewhere for real showers, shop, change out tanks at a state cc for 10-20 bucks and then head back out...hard to beat! You have to find yourself a small cammper to start out with. Even tiny would give you and a friend or cousin the ability to camp in the cold!!!!!

Well i am off to meet Jackie...
HollyHollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01479742179736897650noreply@blogger.com
